401: Designing & Building Spaces with Universal Design -- 2 credits -- C, RE*

All levels of Universal Design will be addressed pertaining to new building and remodeling. Entries, Kitchens and Baths will be discussed.

402: Building Performance -- 1 credit -- C,Energy, RE*
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
This session will provide an introduction to building science along with a discussion of recent changes in the Minnesota Energy Code.

403: Construction Contracts: Complying With New Legal Requirements -- 1 credit -- C, RE*
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This course is designed to prepare builders for understanding significant contract, disclosure and warranty issues regarding real estate construction law.

404: Getting Paid: An Overview of Minnesota Mechanic's Lien Laws -- 1.5 credits -- C, RE*
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
An overview of the laws and procedures to perfect and enforce mechanic's lien rights and obtain payment for construction projects.

405: Construction Defect Claims: Legal Implications for Non-Lawyer Professionals -- 1.5 credits -- C, RE*
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
A seminar discussing common construction defect claims in residential construction, how to evaluate legal claims, potential liability and responding to such claims. The seminar will provide an overview of applicable MN law, common lawsuit claims and breakdown of the issues involved.

Fees:
Member: $13 per credit hour or $90 for all day (not including the Lead class)
Non-member: $20 per credit hour or $125 for all day (not including the Lead class)
Lunch is included.
